Default Cold air intake

Since I use the 968 brake ducts, I had no need for the 951 ducts, so.................
I grafted a blower duct from a 911 to the driver side brake duct of a 951. Then I removed the plastic ducting for the alternator cooling and cut a piece of it to use to route the air into the original snorkel hole in the interior fender. I mounted the piece to the small cross brace that secures the fender to the body. Mounted the two ducts up and tied together with 14" of 2.5" brake hose from Paragon and instant cold air! I had to mount one of the horns in a different position but it all worked out in the end.
Some pictures...

nice idea but do you have to eliminate the brake cooling ducts?

I know mine is a track car but I would much rather keep my brakes cool vs cold air intake.

Thats why you run 968 brake ducts that mount on the control arms and the struts.

I did run both, and IMO that's the minimum for track use. Before the crash I planned installing scoops to fog light openeings with piping.

Andrew has no A/C on his car so no receiver/dryer. I guess you could position that bottom hole anywhere though...
