There's a HVAC pipe/hose down in the passenger footwell. I had a similar noise coming from mine about 2 years ago. Was there one day and I tracked down where it was coming from then the next day it was gone so I didn't worry about it anymore

There is a small motor with a fan that sucks in air from the port on the dash to read cabin temp.
Mine went out and made some funky noises.

Hi,
If you still have most of the climate control system in your car, it will be at the end of the hose that comes from the inlet on the dash. The vent thing right next to the cigarette lighter.
The motor is about the size of 2/3 redbull can, black, and is on the left rear side of the glove box.
There is a small 4 pin wire harness you can pull to shut it off.
Good luck!
Dave

I concur with Dave. It is most likely the HVAC temperature sensor that connects to the opening on dash next to the lighter. I had mine go bad a while bad and it made quitre the racket.

Bosch Part # is 0 130 002 808 (Porsche Part OEM-94462401300)
