Default Dualport wastegate...Really worth it?

Simple question.... I'm thinking of installing a dualport wastegate. Am I really going to feel a significant difference?

What will I actually see when it goes in? Better accelaration? etc. etc?

Paired with a set of chips, a WG is one of the best bang for the buck mods according to most people on here.

Typically you will get quicker spool-up and be able to hold your boost without allowing it to fall off in the higher rpms with a dualport wastegate. We have seen 30+ horsepower increase by swapping out on old stock wastegate for a Tial. And this was on a low 300WHP application.

The factory unit, starts bleeding boost around 8psi and most units are limited to 11 psi...if all is functioning correctly. chips, FPR, DP WG, and MBC = more fun.

As has been said yes it can make a big difference. IMHO go for a Tial, not a modded stock wastegate.

Yes, it's worth it. I bought my Tial from TurboTim and it was worth every penny.

you'll hit boost sooner From a spring that is new and not 20+ yrs old. And it will hold it as long as the turbo will. You won't get more power from the same psi. just to be clear.

i can't understand why any one would bother with anything other than the lihndsey one
i just cut up my old one an increased the spring pressure and have inline check/ Lindsey boost enhancer thing i set the waste gate and the valve up on the bench.
i put the time in . but if lihnsey don't give custom spring pull it out an buy one and its done tial wastegates are fashion accessory's

You will see the boost come on sooner but the real kick is that the boost won't drop off in the higher rpms (as much if still with stock turbo). This would be one of the top 3 upgrades I would do to my car.

I saved about 5lbs going to a TIAL.
