With the way things are looking right now i am probably going to stay through the end of February when my lease is up. There is still a possibility by November i will be sailing the Gulf oil fields instead, in which case im not sure if i am going to stay in TX or not, i will be doing a 28 day rotation so probably not worth while keeping my apartment in that case. Ill probably end up moving back up to NY and just flying back and fourth.. as ill be shipping out of New Orleans rather than Houston.
Ive been so tempted to bring the 951 down here, but dont think my apartment complex would be too happy with the hood open all the time which is inevitable with the amount of work i do on it, needed and not needed. I already had some crazy looks putting in a transmission cooler into my Jeep and will be doing a midnight oil change in a couple days where hopefully no one will see me and complain.. .

Whenever you want man, head on up, just hit up 35N, then take 35N(east) and you'll run right into me!

Unfortunately I'm not home to try them out and my dad hasn't played with them yet. According to SFR, with the thickness that the coating is (1.4 mils) it won't interfere with the slip fit connections. I was assured that the slip fit connections would not leak.
Let us know how they do. With freshly coated pipes, you will see tell-tale soot marks if they leak at all. I know they use those slip fits on some fancy exhausts so I'm sure they work, but I've always been curious how/why they don't leak.

Well, without coating it was not so easy to get them separated. When I talked to SFR, they said that when they pull them off the jig, they use a rubber mallet to separate them for coating. I also asked about thickness and the coating is the same thickness they use. Lets hope they don't leak!

I am up for it, just let me know when you had in mind. I'm currently doing a 4 day rotation so not sure if I'll be free on the weekends or not.
