Default Road Trip photo

We had some cars come up to www.antlerridge.com last weekend. Many cars couldn't make it. We did have a new M5 V10, Sean and my 951, and some offorad stuff there. Here is a photo of our 951's at 9000'.

The roads were fun, and we actually went through some snow to get here.

Know that the M5 tried to pass Sean, but couldn't get around him. This was seen about 400 yards behind me while looking in the rear view mirror. He stated that there were too many rocks hitting his windshield. I know the driver, and that wouldn't stop him.

Those building 3.0 cars with appropriate mods will be amazed at how fast their cars truly are capable as compared to the new rides.

My car was running on 91 fuel with 17 or less boost. I could pull the M5 easily. Know that I purchased this car from the owner of the M5. He drove my car, and was smitten with it's new personality. He was amazed at it's power and handling.

Beautiful car George. I remember seeing it neatly tucked away in the back of Tims shop (under a cover) when I picked up my exhaust. Had a chance to see your engine on the stand, too. He said he had just bolted the headers up to it.

Hey George, how's the car going? How do you like the new suspension setup now that you've done a road trip?

George
Did you go through Morenci and Hannagan Meadow? Or just Salt River Canyon?

We went through the Salt River Canyon. There are roads from 260 outside of Greer that go to Big Lake with very little traffic, if any. We may have seen three or four vehicles. The road from 260 to Big Lake is 20 miles of fairly new roads that winds from 7000' to over 9000'.

The new suspension, polybronze and delrin bushings, and other parts transform the car. I never pushed the car very hard on this trip, as it's on public roads, but know that the car is really fun.

Pulling a new M5 like it was a slow car was interesting. You get used to the power of any car that you drive. Seeing him falling behind every pull was interesting. I purchased this car three years ago from the guy in the M5. He drove my car a bit, and stated that it was like no other 951 he has ever driven. No big turbo hit, just power coming on harder to redline.

Fun stuff.

Great to see you're enjoying your car George. Glad you got it all done before the economic crash. Projects are looking a lot less definite nowdays...

People are still spending money on their rides. We have been busier then we ever have. Its wierd because alot of shops in our area are closing the doors and calling it quits and we are taking appointments and are two months booked up. I guess those that do good work, will remain in business and those that dont, will be forced out of business.

And I need to ship something to you Patrick. Did you want one of those coolant tanks too? Let me know.

Hey Tim, you definitely do good work! Whenever my car is on the lift, I get compliments on the exhaust!
