Thanks for the confirmation Mike!

Got the wheel bearings and brake biasing valve super quick as always. Very happy to purchase from your company, again, as always.

Funny you should ask that. I was just signing up on the website probably as you were typing the question. Car will be #600 I think this time. Counter Clockwise. I will be much more comfortable. But I have to say clockwise was fun.

Easy enough. Cool.
Using 2.5 crank and 2.7 head with 104mm bore in 3 litre block with all piston dimensions like pin cl to piston deck height being stock you would need about 4.3 ccs of dish in the piston to get 11.0 to 1 compression. The valve pockets might be enough. The factory 2.7 engine pistons were flat top with valve pockets and the factory CR was 10.9:1 IIRC.

Very good comparison.
With my proposed motor only pushing 2.5 liters - instead of the 2.8? (104mm bore) in the same space significantly reduces the compression. it will be higher than the Stock 8:1 because of the smaller cc heads of the 968, but I will need more piston. Probably a small dome of some sort.

EDIT: I'm doing a compression calculator online and it's telling me I will still need around 5cc of dish... wow. So Flat top with releifs. YOU are correct Dand96951. Are the 2.7 liter heads the same cc as the 968?

If you are using a 2.5 with a 4 valve head with 46 cc head volume then you will get to 11.0:1 with a dish of 9.3 ccs by my own calculations. The 2.7 head, or at least mine, has a measured volume of 58.5ccs taken after a valve job.

Yea but be careful...a year or two layoff of training while eating the same could be a disaster. I was 195 and in pretty good shape two years ago. I guess my winter bulking up never stopped
