Default Opinions please

Okay I am a 911 guy having owned many many and only one 944. Here is the short version of my story. I was a professional options trader for 20 years blah blah.... I sold my business in June and took the summer off. From there I took a job selling new Porsches, something I always wanted to do and now I have the time and means to step back and do it.

Anyway I now have a commute and I came across this car

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-...QQcmdZViewItem

and I figured what a performance bargain. These 951's I know are great cars but at a price like that what am I in for ? Dont forget service is on the cheap for me. At that price how much risk is there in this deal?

All opinions are welcome, thanks in advance!

Looks like a nice car, need to ditch the air filter and go back to the stock air box or buy a MAF kit for it. The 951's are a totaly seperate addiction compaired to your rear engine VW. I mean 911. LOL J/K. I had to...

There are a lot of 'Listers in the Fl area to take a look for you if you need some fresh eyes on it. If you need a commuter, there are better choices, but none are Porsches, and my 951 gets 25 mpg+ all day long.

The xterior looks great...not much on the Burgandy interior, but for a DD? Yep.

I'm sure you can still have it serviced much cheaper than even heavily discounted dealer .
Any car in a dealer takes up a very expensive hoist space

Nice looking car. +whatever on shifting the filter. It could have an MAF by the look of it, but you can move the filter down into the left front wheel guard.
