Default idle screw

Mine is semi-stripped and I would like to replace it ASAP. anyone know if there is a VW part or this is something that can be sourced locally?

Stripped? Wow... You might want to check the threads in the throttle body then, just in case.

Mine does but I think at some point in this cars past someone tried using something other then a screwdriver adjust it as its a very wide slot now. I got it out by taking a big flathead, grinding the sides down so it would fit and going very carefully...needless to say I didn't get a chance to adjust my idle yet

This is the one that is like tiny stud but with a slot cut in it, right? I think you can cut the head off of a regular screw and the use a dremal to create the slot. Bruce
