How will this camber affect my handling?

Hahaha, I'm not gonna lie -- that headlight conversion kit you've got is quite attractive.......Sean (azmi951) has done the same thing with his, except he just made his. Bit cheaper...
I may be changing tack: I think I'll buy a working 951, or at least one with a blown motor, ideally. My motor seems like it's OK from the accident and I don't really have the time nor the space to build a 951 from scratch -- even if that is the cheapest way to go.
So if you have a very nice 951 with a blown motor, speak up!

I have had State Farm for 10 years. I haven't had to make many claims but the two I did make were handled excellent. On on a BMW I had, someone hit and cracked the bumper in a parking and left. State Farm asked me to get an estimate and they ended up sending me a check for more then what the estimate was. I had made two cliams on my 951. One was when a girlfriend(at the time) accidentally ran over a racoon on the highway. The front bumper and batwing had to be replaced. My agent just said to go to any body shop I wanted and have them billed, which was over $1900. I took it to a shop my agent suggested and they did the work without even questioning me or asking to see the car. The second claim was when someone decided to drop a 1' piece of a railroad track though my back window. I found a used hatch locally which was delivered to my door for $250 and State Farm sent me a check for $1250 or so IIRC since I said I was installing it myself. I went back to the same body shop I used the first time for the estimate which was $1250 on a new hatch...and that was a guess anyway since the tech couldn't find it in his system for new parts. lol.
I can't see myself ever switching to any other insurance company. My insurance also never increased because of a claim.

here's what you do. it might help it might not. tell the insurance company to send out a claims dude/chick and have them look at it, and see what they say. also show the adjuster any(if not all) the reciepts you have for the work that's been recently done to the car...within the last 2-3yrs. if they see that you've invested a lot of money into the car, they might give you some of it back in a check and have you make up the rest.
i that case(a check and you make up) just buy oem replacement parts and start workign it again, depending on what wrong with the parts you've purchased aftermarket.
like i said, it might work might not, but it's worth a shot.
as for the blown motor 951. there's a guy about 3/4 mile fro me with an 86 or 87 non blown motor but needs some work. he told me if i walked up to him with $2500 the car would be mine...it was my lil secret car, but you need it more than me.

When the adjuster came out to inspect the car, he listened to everything I had to say about what had been done to the car, any interesting/valuable options, etc. And then I got a phone call two days later and was floored that they were offering me that much.
State Farm is killer.
Oh, and I'm buying this car: I'm the reason it's no longer for sale on ebay
I'll be picking it up in three weeks. I hope it's safe to say this on the internet...

Sean saw this, and he says, "got yer message. I'll definitely be going. Probably won't be bringing Brant."

Let's hope so! Yep -- it really sucks having to go back to driving a car, in which the driver was an afterthought (chevy cavalier -- big pimpin'). It's making me more than impatient to get another 951...

If you are a PCA member, do this and save yourself a LOT of hassle.
http://www.pca.org/members/valuation.html
They will give you a form back that states the aprox. value of other cars with your mods/options/etc....
I am so sorry for your misfortune. It pains me to see such pictures.

insurance companies are usually pretty generous with the payoffs. and also with the buying back the totalled car. they paid me for my NA 944 and then basically said i could keep it. so i sold it and used all the money to buy my 951.
and you're probably better off that the guy took off and had no insurance. if he had insurance and had stayed, you'd be fighting his insurance company.
and the guy who seemed to be an immigrant hater is kind of an idiot.
