Brian she runs like a champ! When the time comes, take us out for another ride. This time a bit more adrenaline rush. What wastegate are you running? Atmospheric?

Might be a short while before I can really step on it, my tires are 8 year old junkers thanks to the PO, im replacing those ASAP with Nokians. I dont quite trust them Ill take another video tomorrow once the ignition switch is fixed

Right now no real boost control, im doing it the 930 way and using the 7PSI wastegate spring  I will connect it up soon. Wastegate is a Tial 38mm. Yup, currently open downpipe and thus open wastegate dump. Ive gotta take it to a shop and get the exhaust made. Ill probably do that in November while im in Philly for business, if the shop can fit me in.

Well after a new ignition switch and a new starter, ive been driving around for the last 2 hours or so. The engine hasnt blown up yet so presumably im doing something right, or at least something not completely wrong..... I even accidentally got into boost, as seen in the picture below. The Stage 2 spools so goddamn fast The spike to the right of the line down the middle is 7PSI, which is the wastegate opening. Nearly scared the **** out of me when it opened It built 7 psi almost instantly!

Alright, stupid question, what is with the extra fancy line on the front of your steering rack?

Thats my power steering delete hose. The rack is filled with fluid, and that hose lets it cross back and forth between the sides as it turns.

Brian,

You are using the power steering rack filled with fluid and a crossover line to allow fluid to bypass internal seals? Is it difficult to drive on the street?
Thanks.

Tony

Theres two cavities inside the racks. If you fill with fluid and cap off the ports without a hose, you wouldnt be able to turn because the fluid would stop it in the cavity thats getting smaller (ie, if youre turning the wheel right, then the right side of the rack is getting smaller). The hose lets the fluid flow between the cavities to keep everything equal.

The steering effort seems the same or a bit less effort as when I had the power steering belt removed.

Neat-o. I always had a hard time running power racks without assist, but once you get used to them they are alright. I just never got used to them

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...97570501&hl=en

A crappy video I made last weekend at 1AM or so. My camera doesnt do well in the dark obviously, and I couldnt drive worth **** trying to juggle it In this video im not driving with the headlights on, just the fogs and Euro driving lights. Theyre quite bright.

Tomorrow im installing a manual boost controller to try out some higher boost runs.
