10" x 18 et 60 w Toyo R888 285/30 fit my vehicle on the front....just. With about 4 degrees neg.

That tire has a tread with of 11.4", 1/2" more then a hoosier of the same size.
Even with -4 degrees which is more then any car should ever need doesn't make sense to me.
Anyway, good luck with the setup..

Well I know Toyo recommend at least 3 degrees neg on the R888s.
If these are wider than the Hoosiers and yet they still fit, then that's a good sign no?

yeh 3 degrees on a flimsy commodore chassis that would flex and reduce to half a degree under load. and also what aspect ratio is that related to ???.
sorry to state the obvious but do your tires were even at 4 degrees ?
