OT. The irony is that they get their big day (Wedding) and the guys get to sell their cars. 'Tis a sad day indeed....

Noooo!!!! If only I had waited 10 months, the number of great cars for sale now is unbelievable (except for that one in NY) . Nice to hear that you found a BMW for daily transport, though.
And as for the hockey equipment statement.... I am goaltender and use my 951 regularly to go to the arena. It's actually easier to my gear in and out of than the Subaru. Am I banned now?

I picked one up nearly 6 years ago to replace my aging (then 135k mile) 951, but sold it after 10 months. Although it did a better job as a commuter, when the road turned windy and the speeds increased, it just didn’t involve me like the 951. However, I know a lot of people who feel differently and think the M coupe is an amazing, underrated little car. Worth looking at, but spend some time in it to make sure you know on which side of the fence you fall.

The easy way. I watched as a mechanic evacuated the r-12, made sure it would hold vacuum for a while, then added 2 cans of r-134a with the oil/ lubricant (very important to get the can that has the oil or add r-134 specific oil). It works awesome. I don't think you should bother with converting any of the a/c system hardware unless the "easy way" doesn't work (which means that something in your a/c system is probably broken anyway).
