Allow me to clarify what my friend Patrick has just alluded to: the CPR splitter will be flatter than the AIR unit (read: more like the GTR splitter). However, it will be a bit more contoured than the GTR splitter (read: better looking).

And, as this test pointed out, ABS > fiberglass.

Yup, one for the '90 cab for sure; might replace the race car too, but might wait till the old one is a gonner first. Is this a one time thing or will these be available later??

Side bar: I wish I still had the "squirrel cam" video from Paul Tracy at Road America a few years ago...priceless; could see the pupils in the little guys eye before Tracy inadvertently applied him to the pavement like paint...only the overhead angle went on the air; the on-board nose cam was the much better shot!

IMO, the splitter test photos are all I need to go on until someone posts an actual user experience report after seeing one of these things in person...

Question; is the new unit lighter than a 'glass AIR unit??

Probably not. ABS is typically denser than fiber-impregnated polyester resin. However, the weight difference won't be anything significant.

Once you start production there will be a rush of orders. How many will you be able to produce during the first run and how long will the run take? Just trying to figure if this is a Halloween, Thanksgiving or Xmas present.

Collin...thanks for picking up my slack....

Yes the unit will be slightly heavier than the AIR by itself, BUT NOT heavier than an AIR & Batwing, which this is designed to replace. The splitter only unit (attaches between the batwing and bumper) is 36grams heavier than the AIR.

Pricing is still not 100% finalized as I am still waiting on all the final production cost, e.g. I had to purchase a larger oven for these...our biggest oven would not fit the the complete batwing/splitter mold inside. And as these are not cheap even in the most generic sense, I feel we can still absorb alot of this cost en masse w/o passing it on to the customers.. The targeted price range is still around 40-50% cheaper than anything available.

I would consider it an early Halloween present...any later and I will kill every employee.

looks great, to be clear when you say it replaces the batwing..... how far under the car does it extend?

At what speed will it start to bend, warp? If there were a few of us to do a couple high speed runs, say over 200mph, would it bend? I don't know how much you weigh, but if a 200lb guy stood on it, would it bend?

I would definitely be interested in one. While the car is being set up for track use, it still needs to be drivable back and forth on the streets.
