We got the i/c pipes out of the way a bit more and now the hood fits much better than before.

Looks factory!
Although I have fixed headlights myself I do think the car looks better with the stock lights in the closed position than with visible, fixed, lights.
IMHO fixed lights really need splitter to complete the look!

Funny you should say that Duke. I've been wrestling with the closed stock v's 'open' clear look in my mind. I do like the closed look very much too and now with the vents, lights, i/c etc it is a much more busy appearance, but it makes it look meaner. Judging by the flexibility and robustness of the CPR splitter I may wind up trying it on the road car and see what happens. The only thing would be to have it black or slate grey metallic finished?

Actually, there is still a fair portion of the i/c covered up. Not sure if I'll try and open the thick bar under the license plate up to increase the surface area some more. That would take some nice finishing skills to make it look factory.

Actually I've got a c/f hood that will have one front vent on it to complete the through ventilation. It will probably start looking pretty ricey but we'll have to wait and see...

Yep, Simmons wheels. Been around for ages in Australia and won on every track many times so when I'm looking at all the nice OS stuff, sometimes I think I should just stick to what's proven and made in my backyard...well 2 mins from work.
Olli the buckets are staying like they are. The splitter may be painted the colour of car. Cosmetically the car is just about there for a road / track car. I'm trying to get a non cracked dash to from the UK. By the time I get it here it'll probably cost $1kau unless I can get it on a boat. Sick of the dash mat that's for sure.

I love the look of these so much, I can not wait to get my set. It may be just the way the pics are taken, but I think they make the ft end appear to be wider. I love what D9 has done for these cars, it's nice to have a high quality company out there that cares about our cars looking good.
