I bought a 931 panel ebay and found a 951 the same, and had them shipped to Dan /xsboost who did the changeover mods. Sent them to me primed & ready to paint. Great job and thanks Dan.
My reason was practical as I was concerned that the front mount i/c that covers most of the radiator might heat things up too much so I just wanted to increase flow. I haven't been on the track with this setup yet, but in Sydney heat my gauge sits just above the first line so that's not too bad. I'll probably play around with a c/f hood and some venting somewhat like that Orange 924 turbo we've seen lately. Damn nice little car that one!

Geez you guys are quick!!
Ok the headlights are from Beni and Mark of D9 http://www.deutschnine.com/
The i/c is by a guy down here called Plazmaman
http://www.plazmaman.com/news2.php?f...%20WAY%20.news
who has been in the business for some years.
Yes TRP has cut that out but I'd like to see it as it would take some finishing off to make it look ok. On a track car not so important but I'd like to keep this one looking OK.

Pat, looks like you 'bent' the front nose to fit the IC in, looks drooping? It's all a tight fit in there. That's probably the only way to fit it with the stock A/C condenser/radiator/stock frame.

I like it though, function function function. And hello 3 inch IC piping.

glad to finally see it on the car. Looks great! Ive been thinking more and more about headlight covnversions- how about spraying around the edges of the lenses w/ body color....would blend alittle easier..

Thumbs down

Reminds me of a 1970's trans am. Or Monza/Starfire. Instantly makes the car look about ten years older.

don't bother with importing a dash i can hook you up with a slick black gelcoat fibrglass for a set of old simmons .
If you jokers would get together with me we could Tee up a group buy and get a few fiberglass fronts and carbon finished dashes all at once

Looks very sharp! I really would like to get my 931 nose panel spliced with a true 951 nose panel to eleimiate the gaps I currently have around the front bumper, etc. I have noticed the front nose I have does not have the large strip in the middle for front license plate mounting. To my knowledge the one I have is a factory piece and I know for a fact it is not fiberglass. Has anyone else seen one like it before? What do you think of the lights performance?

Its kinda hard to make it out but this is taken looking up at the bottom of the fat middle part. Im going to do more trimming on it but you will get the idea of what I mean. The only way you notice is if you are looking up, looking at the from of the car you have no idea its cut.

Hurts my neck trying to see that. lol So do you mean that you cut away from the inside as the i/c is now deeper and at the front and needs more depth to be able to house it? I have the same problem and viewed from above you can see where they cut into the 'slats' to fit and that's why the bottom slat looks like it's smiling as it is bent downwards a little. So it's a smiling, cross eyed assassin. hehehe

well I cut away the slats and the back parts of some of the cross parts to make there more room in front of the IC so they arent choking airflow over the whole core.

Ahh, gotcha. I didn't see the cutaway inside the big bar. That looks like a good idea without going to the harder option of cutting the bar itself away. I might just do the same. Thanks.
