Default lets take a pole.

I blew my engine the other day what do you think i did. I got a hole in my oil pan large enough to put my hand through it tomorow ill have the engine out and tell you exactly what i did.

its definitely #2 the weird thing is that the crack is right on the cross member as if the engine twisted and smashed into it.

i think you dropped a valve, probably exhaust valve head. this smashed the piston. the piston pieces get caught between the rod/crank and the pan. pan smashes. if this is the case then the block will be rooted too from the rod running up and down the wall.
