Alright.... uhhhh

To part it, or not to part it.

THAT is my question.

Until I make up my mind I'll keep working on it sooo....

I'm just getting started with this job, I'm going to have to read allot of wiring diagrams. Is this as difficult and confusing as it seems?

What are you doing? Making a new/custom one or pulling the old one and putting a stock one in? Replacing with stock is easy, making a new one is a little trickier.

I'll tell you this. If you can replace it with a known good one. Just do it and be done with it. otherwise....Damn. You're going to have to do a retarded amount of reading and learning before you should feel comfortable doing this.

BUT..... best start is to buy all of Lindsey's wiring. Then add the extra's from there. it's not too bad if that's your start.

The only other wiring you'll have to do after that is AFM, O2, and TPS.

Haven't been following but weren't you getting rid of the 951 since you were moving North? Change of plans? Good to here you are looking at bringing it back.

Take your time, double check, check again, bang head against the wall, check once more. there was someone here who did a smashing job on rewiring his engine bay to one plug on the fire wall pn the forum...pretty sharp. It can be done, with time, patience and more checking.

good luck, one day for s#its and grins I will rewire the whole engine bay myself (read: glutton for punishment)

I'd rather rebuild an engine or replace a clutch than make a wiring harness.

I kept rebuilding mine in hopes that my problems would go away. I did it so many times, I think I can do it with my eyes closed. Ended up being in the cabin harness messin with everything.
My back literally went out after that fiasco.

So how many harnesses have you shorted stuff out in now?
Do you think you are going to be fixing another short after replacing this one too?

This one was because someone had euro fog lights wired on the stock foglight circuit without a relay... and there was a 30 amp fuse in place.

That's what I have gathered

I'm not doing the DME harness... just the oune that goes from the fuse box to the lights and eventually to the ignition coil.
