Default Finally got my Scissor lift up and running <pics>

I finally was able to make it run after trying to figure out this short i have in my max with no success killed my Sunday. I was so surprise how high this lift can go. Right where it is, is the lowest height possible to make it lock in the safety. At that height it's a little bellow my chest i am 6'1. The reason why i didn't make it go higher was because i ran out of steel. Tomorrow my dad is going to get thicker and longer sheet of metal for the back to wheels of the lift.

Cool. Both lifts I have looked at required a 5.5" undercarriage clearance. Did you need to run the car onto 2x6's first? The one I am looking at buying lifts to 55" which is perfect for my garage.

It's very stable i was really surprised considering my car does not have an engine. It is just as stable as a 2 post 4 post lift. underneath the car it's supported with 4 arms like a 2 post or 4 post lift with the supplied lift blocks.

yeah my car is at stock height with coil overs and no engine it needed 4 inchs to clear the bumper and the cross member safely.

Wow what a clever insult, I've never heard that before

Your first pathetic attempt at a personal attack is to insult the color of my hair? Seriously what is this 5th grade?

Dan,
Did you ever find that PS mount? I have two but no way can I get it there in time for your track day. You might try those 30lb dumb bells for the next 24 hours and go without PS. I drove my 83 for about 1 month when the PS pump failed, at speed it felt fine...in town it sucked.

Atlas 6600 MRLX mid-rise scissor lift = $2195.00...capacity=3.25 tons. comes with built in drive on ramps (no2x4's needed!).
