Fantastic deal on oil!! hugh!1!
seriously though, after perusing threads on oil recommendations I chose to try another oil instead of Mobil1..made a quick trip to Checker and found Valvoline VR1
for $1.00 a quart..(after mail in rebate) but still the sale price was $3.99 a quart.
Best deal around....now if I can remember to send in the rebate......

Is that rebate from Valvoline or specific to Checkers? We don't have Checkers here, so I'm wondering if I might find the same deal at Advance or AutoZone. Thanks...

I did this a few months ago. There's a 1 case minimum....so I went back 3 times lol.
I think they do it a few times a year though....was the impression I got from talking to the guy behind the counter (Don't know how much he knows though)

Interesting - I wish we got those deals up here in Canada. I ended up becoming a Premium Amsoil customer and get their 15 W 50 Race oil for about $9 a quart. Saves me about $3 to $4 versus retail.

Just got back from the Checker here and they only had the Synthetic Valvoline for $1 per quart...which means they don't carry 20W50. So I had to pay full price. Damn.
