Are tacking this car or is this a street application? Sounds like you are looking for top end performance.

Personally I like to have the torque down low. This thing pulls like a MF. Hard to keep it hooked up. As you can see from the dyno picture above, I hit 300lbs of torque @ 3100RPM.

Just my personal set-up. I like it. Others might not.

Dont get me wrong, your power band is great, it just does not leave room for future improvement. And on the track, not being able to plant the tires at lower rpms may be an issue. This will be an around town driver, and a track car.

your powerband and numbers are severely impressive and will make for a really fast street car.

what boost pressure where you running? and this was a 27/6?

please tell me pump gas and 19psi.

that'll be a fun street car at 380ish rwhp. God I wish I had displacement.

I have not dynoed my car yet but i have the same setup minus the injectors and 3" inch exhaust. Reading your dyno, I wonder how much i'm putting out.

400hp944,

I've said it before...the 27/6 with the Auto products IS the deal. Spidey...Auto's dyno's show the numbers relatively the same and in some cases (different mods) even better @ 2.5l. Don't underestimate the 27/6, it has plenty of low end to get you out of the corners and enough to fly you through the straights....just my opinion though.

Just when I thought my mind was made up...... the quicker spool is appealing, but i'd like to only swap turbos once.... still feel the 6 is too small.

Boost + More Boost *2 = displacement x infinity

Live I've been saying for many years now... the K27/6 is a great turbo.

The best part about it is that there's hardly any lag, it's a factory fit (other than a couple of trivial items), bullet-proof, and coupled with the 951 gearing makes for a perfect matchup.

Oh yeah.... it's cheap!

I'm sure the car is a blast when you downshift into 3rd at 80mph.

Congrats!

Actually, it will bark the tires down-shifting to 3rd at around 60 or so. Just did it the other night with my fat friend in the car - even with his 280lbs *** in the seat!

I am about to have 2 K27/6 turbos built one for street and one for track car. I will for sure let you know how I like it. Although it may be a while as I want to put it on the track car first( which is torn dowand about to be started) and dial in the SFR MAF, and once I get it dialed in I will put the same setup on my street car. I am looking for something durable, relativly inexpensive 850$ plus cores, factory fit, and quick spool.
