The owner of the car, on the site in question, knew what he was doing.
I'm pretty sure it's the same car. If it isn't then he's misrepresenting a different car. Hell, looks like he copied the ad from the listers web page about the car.

Think, one is a 86 and the other a 87 with a late offset. Sunnyvale even though I don't know him has been open with me in regards of all the details of the car, that makes him very trustworthy.

WHOA!!!!!!!!!!! If you're really serious, make a deposit pending an inspection, and find a RL'er to go check it out for you.
Hell I just bought rhesus' car, and he's been around here for 7 years, and we still did it that way. I had all of his receipts emailed to me. I asked every question on the planet, even asked if the glove box door supports were good, and we still did it that way.
For 13k, a plane trip is nothing to ensure a good safe deal.
Bjorn and I were both thrilled with the transaction. We came away knowing that we both delivered on our promises and we know that our reps are firmly intact as a result of due diligence.
I sent him a 10% deposit and carried a cashiers check with me.
I could have flown from FL to Ca for 216.00. That's a tiny price, by comparison to the bad that could have happened.

It's your cash...I'm just sayin'. SLOW DOWN!

I have my 87' for parts. If I really want the late offset, I could swap out my arms, hubs, spindles, etc. Ill def put my 87' steering wheel in, I like it better than the 86'. I really like the cashmere seats/carpet, on black two tone int. If I pieced everything together myself this car would be about 90+% exactly how I would do it. Everything ive wanted in a 951, right down to the color combos.

I was gonna send him a sizable deposit, to hold it, and get an inspection done, and pay off the balance in a few weeks.

Eh, cracked, I got an extra one already out with extra airbag cover, ready to be sent off for resto. Car was smacked couple days before It was planned to be shipped. But nothing youd probably be interested in.
