Daily driver:Audi S4 Biturbo or 951?

Imagine being an unsuspecting customer and your turbo seals go bad..."excuse me sir, but we will need to remove your engine (with trans. attached) to replace you leaking oil seals."
Have you guys ever seen the table Audi uses to take engines out? Pretty slick as you have the ability to rock, rotate, and level this huge table and just set the engine and trans. still attached to the subframe (and as much of the suspension that you want to leave attached).

As far as the rest of your stupid comment based on more **** you made up, I guess my comments based on the truth in that other thread really got to you. Now looking back on it I guess it would, being called the mindless follower of an idiot leader is worse than being called an idiot leader. The thing is I can sit back and read your **** and laugh, because I am happy in life and it is obvious by your posts you are not. Sucks to be you.

I never said i drove the car 50k my self I bought it used, I did however drive it close to 40K miles that year. I was driving 100 miles a day and was also going on long road trips.

I'm not sure about that stock turbo maxing out at 360FWHP, tms951. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I have an article- I'll look for it- from EC magazine- now the S4's are known for their incredible TQ w/chips, etc so again, I'm not trying to argue b/c I'm not 100% sure, BUT, the EC mag- they took an S4 & they got WAY over 400lbs/ft-TQ w/stock turbos on 100+ octane. I know TQ was higher than HP. They were just using chips & might have had an exhaust.
The first thing they did was add chips & run boost & they got >300HP / 360TQ. Then, they started experimenting w/higher octane & timing- HP & TQ started increasing. I just can't remember top HP but the top TQ was ~440 on the higher oct / boost. They said the driveability was even smoother than stock & much better than the chipped rate w/93 oct. I'll dig to see if I can find it for more detailed info, but I always remembered it b/c I thought it was so cool that the car could add close to 200lbs/ft of TQ w/chips. Talk about fast- the very first chipped S4 I ever saw was YEARS ago w/Neuspeed chips, before so many of the newer ones even came out. That thing ran a 12.8 or a 12.9 @ 1/4 mile & they said it was running some 310HP & 365TQ. Now, compared to your car tms951, that doesn't sound so fast, but to the rest of is, it's pretty damn FAST! a 12.2 sec 951...?!?! That's impressive!

Robby,
Owning both a 951 and an S4 Avant, I sure would be interested in the reference material you've described! I am running a chipped ecu with 93 octane, and although the power is nice, you know how soon you get used to increases in torque, so I sure wouldn't mind investigating a further increase!

87951- here is a link I just found searching, of a EC test of their Project S4 that relates a little bit of info, however, this one has a lot more mods & done not list HP. I'm still digging, but again, this is NOT the same article i'm talking about- still tells a few cool things though...

I assumed a twin turbo Audi would be fast and that is why I suggested the car to my wife. However, I had never driven one at that point. After she told me it was a "Gutless Wonder," I was no longer interested.
Side note 87951: I'll bet you wouldn't make that comment to my face.

951...we had an '03 S4-TT and had nothing but problems. Bought it new in Feb '04, followed all the regular maintenance (by the dealer) and problem, problems, problems. It was a very fun car to drive and comfortable on long holiday, but I would not own another. Timing belt broke 17k miles after the scheduled change (dealer parts 6k in repairs)...thermo replaced 4 times...FC relays (2)...computer...just tooooomany issues. Seems like we had it in the shop every other week.

Rad- I have to say that I think your wife got ahold of one w/some probs or something. I've been in a stock one before & I've seen road tests- if in normal condition, they'll take a stock Turbo S all the way till wherever it is the S4 rev limiter kicks in in top gear. Not only that, but simple chips do push HP from 250 to over 300 & TQ from 258 to over 350. Simple chips on a Turbo S will do very impressive things too, but the TQ benefit in that Audi is still more impressive.
Again, however, I stand by my original comments that they are just so far apart- completely different cars, really. I love them both, but I hate them both, at the same time. And just about everyone here who's owned either for more than a few years, can completely relate to what I'm saying I think...
