Default Comparable turbos to my k29/7-8

This turbo Came on the car, But im curious as to what It might be comparable to? This was a K29, with a machined k27 housing, and 8 hot side with clipped turbine, By PowerHaus Seemed to Spool up fairly quick(never minding my low boost prob)
This is on a 2.5, The head Also was P&Ped but Powerhaus

The compressor wheel is very similarly sized to a 60-1. The standard 8 turbine wheel is in between a T3 stage 2 and 3 IIRC.

Hmm Ok how abotu compared to GT's or LR, etc?? Just curious as I read the other recent thread about, someone who switched turbos with minimal gains. I mean I just want a BB turbo, so If I was to swap to something New, what might be suggested?

Ok, well it should be similar to a LR S61, w/ stg 3 turbine and #8 housing.

>>>But im curious as to what It might be comparable to?<<<

Without the compressor map on your turbo, it's impossible to answer.

Seems, according to Duke, It will spool around 3400-3500rpms. My GT3076R spools Around 3200. ----------1 BAR. --------

Seriously, If you're aiming at anything below 500hp. I don't know many who actually have achieved this. Get the GT30.

ok. But seriously. How much power do you plan on making? - Budget -
Seems you have to plan on a motor build when you approach 500whp. Do you plan on doing that? Block strengthening? If you don't want to do that. Plan on staying in the 400's range. Gt28 - immediate spool maxed at 400whp or GT30. Great spool maxed at 500whp. Or GT35 Good spool 600whp.

Well, I have looked at the Gt30R and it looks appealing, so Ill see.
FWIW, I see the.78 A/R hotside for it.
Also My K-29/7 has a 83mm compressor, which is acctually bigger then the gt35, So in someways im thinking either way, even with the GT35 it would be a bit quicker then what i have now.

Plus it also depends on what I can get for The k-29 it i can afford the new turbo.

The K series turbo size, just doesn't give you a good comparison. But... a darker note of the GT series is the ridiculous amount of fab work to install it. If you don't trust a guy, or aren't doing it yourself. I wouldn't suggest that turbo. Huge bucks for someone else to install any of them.
You still haven't mentioned your power goals? you keep reaching for the GT35. Please don't do what everyone else does. Buy the bigger turbo so you can get more power later.

the bigger gt 28 is the ultimate if you never break open the engine then gt 30 for those with a reworked head and a gt 35 defiantly warrants a full engine build . I've got a gt3576 it's been there a year and will be there another year until i build a worthy engine .
from accounts here that Puer tuning guy does the best bolt in gt BB huffers in kkk style housing's

well I have a reworked head, might do a cam in the future, or possibly a 16v(though keep at 2.5 unless/till I need to pull the bottom off) Will be doing a custom carbon intake.

Im thinking about the 30, bit still leaning towards the 35.

Right now Im looking for about 425, but with 16v, 500.

We'll see but im thinking that if the 35 spools faster than my k29 with the clipped #8 turbine... id be fine with that.

or lean towards the gt30 that can do 500whp and spool faster.

I give up though, you've obviously been trained by other forums that bigger is better. Solid tone-good luck with the 500whp.
