The whole point is i'm still not anywhere near done, 6500 was in a little over a year. I was just shocked when i added it up. I still have alot of suspension work to do as well as paint the car inside and out eventually. I'm also probably going with an engine management once i get things more sorted. My job has just been very slow otherwise i probably would've not even cared.

I just added up all my 951 parts recipts and came to a few dollars under 6500
Thats not including the price of the car, and it still needs paint. I'm in shock. It runs really good but damn, I think I'm just going to enjoy the car for a while now. Somebody tell me i'm not the only one

Ok. Wait a second hold on .. when your adding your receipts. Is more than half of them on upgrades? Because major front engine work with belts, rollars, seals, while your in there etc. is probably close to $2500 with labor factored in. That major service should last you into at least 30,000 miles maybe more with feeling the need to put more into it. Unless of course you were too late on doing the required major maintenance and you had to do a full rebuild $$$ So either you guys are doing major service in much smaller intervals or your badly abusing your car? I've only been in this for 2 months and i've spent about $800 in service. But that's from a $300 tow truck, labour and a couple of tires .. and coolant change. Shift linkage repair.. and a pair of rebuilt a-arms and joints. A few relays.. bulbs..
