Default MAF users with filters behind headlight, any problems with rain water?

I did a quick walk around my car with the headlights up and noticed the air filter is awfully exposed when the headlights are up and very easily could get soaked with water. Even so with the headlights down with water running down the hood. Has anyone had problems with this? A worth while concern? This is my daily driver and the car sees everything from snow to rain.

I have a few ideas on what i can do, just curious to know if anyone had the same concern.

We get very heavy down pours here in Singapore and though the Vitesse kit has been on for the last 2 weeks or so, no problems with rain water so far.
I'll have a look and feel of the filter after the next rain and let you know if it is affected by spray or not.
