videocar is a 996 GT2, with 550 hp, sticky tires for both of us
I need to loosen the rear some more as its still a bit "jumpy" , and get the damn LSD in so I can accelerate more out of the turns, the 235 front, and 295 rear combo also needs more brakes to the rear.
(im the burgundy 944)

Looks pretty quick Anders but also not a track that would suit the 996 either. I thought you had one of our Aussie LSDs in by now? You definitely need to get that in for sure and I can see you rear bouncing around. Have you re-indexed you T-bars? Looks like your rear is sitting a bit high? What engine/mods do you have in? That's quite a big difference between front and back, do you get understeer?

I have had issues with massive OVERSTEER actually, I have the 968 m030's at the loosest now, was middle on previous test day. before next trackday, I will adjust bump/rebound some more. it's not to high at all, if you lower the car to much, you will get wrong angles at A arms, without longer pins. I could lower the rear a bit, but haveing the rear to low, contrary to front would be bad I think? it was 34-35C in the shade (aprox 95fahrenheit) which is a lot for our country.
I will adjust down the rear camber a bit to aprox 1.5 on both, and up the fronts from 1.5 to 2.5 degrees negative. I think that should be good up front, im running solid bushings, and uniball tops etc, so not much deflection
I have a 40%, a 65%, and a 80%... the 65% and 80% are going in soon, I have the trannies open and just need to put them back together, rpelaced all the bearings, seals etc.
the 40% just needs some oil and it should be ready. will probably just slap that in there before the next test on the 16'th of august.
the 996 gt2 is rigged very good with aggresive angles for the short tracks. he's getting a new intrax 3 way, and sequential shifter before the 16th.. we will fight again then!
just bought a ls1 on thursday btw.. also buying a few ls3's (we will make 3 cars with them at our garage it seems) the ls1 is to show the DMV, and the ls3 is then swapped in voila.. 500rwhp.. vrooom

haven't decided yet, wont get anything approved until over the winter... so no rush to figure out the details. but its tempting, then I can have cruisecontrol as well!

Lowering the rear will not put more weight on the rear tires. Total rear weight is constant until some component of the car is physically moved (or added or removed.)

Corner balancing does not change the total rear weight. It is a basic chassis setup fact.
Since you won't believe me, I did a google search of "corner balancing". Second hit is from Elephant Racing http://www.elephantracing.com/techto...nerbalance.htm which I quote
"As you consider which wheel to adjust keep in mind the following set of rules:
Rule 1 - You can't shift total weight between axles, LF + RF = Constant "
Read all the search results, they will all say the same thing.

ok. I don't disagree with your weight change argument...but
reasons why he should lower it...
right now he has
roll center is lower (bad)
center of gravity higher.
trailing arm unhappy. etc.
needs to lower the rear
