I used a M18X1.5 to -6 AN union (male to male) at the pump, then a 120 degree -6AN push lock hose end (-6 AN female to barbed male hose end) on the inlet hose to pump connection. Hope this helps.

i have installed the fuel pump now but i got a problem.
the electrical connection near the fuel pump is very hot
does everybody that runs 044 pumps change the electrical cable to bigger or is someone more than me running orginal cables without any problems?

can´t hold my hand around it for more than maybe 20-30sec after start up, i think it will melt if i drove it for a while
i think i should try and change the connection first before new cables?
the 044 pump is rated for more amps than the stock one but the fuse is still intact so the cables should be enough right?

I ran 12AWG to my 044 pump, which is a bit overkill, but I'm installing a much larger pump in the future and wanted the wiring to be already done. The factory wiring is like 20 or 18AWG so 16 to 14AWG should work fine.
The positive runs from a 30amp relay on the DME/KLR mount, under the carpet along the passenger side door sill and through a factory hole in the rear seat bottom. The ground is a short wire of the same AWG that I attached to the chassis.
I've deleted the rear seats and installed a harness bar so pinching of the wire under the rear seat bottom was not a concern for me. I also run stand alone so the relay was a requirement. You will need to use your best judgment for the wires routing and attachment location in your car.

If you decide to rewire, follow the Wire Gauge Selection table at this link.
