Thanks for your concern. I have determined that it was all due to a RF control arm that failed on the street. I had not heard of that b4 except for those on the track running 30mm sways, but I guess even with a 27mm it can happen.

If you have an interest in the stock Linen seats or interior see my ad in the classifieds.
Looks like a professional install....nice

The front tunnel is three pieces, in my last pic you can see a vertical seam on the side of the tunnel at the front edge of the drivers seat. From that seam back it is one piece laid over the tunnel, and two pieces forward covering each side of the tunnel.

I don't think it would look very good without the center council but with carpet. If you remove the council I would go all the way with stripping the interior and painting it out, just my two cents. Couple more pics.

Thats a really nice carpet set/install.

What about the back piece in the cargo area? Particularly the flaps over the wheel well pockets, does all that area have a backing?

thanks again for all the compliments...
i have a couple PDF slide shows that i used to help develop this carpet kit with but i'm having trouble posting them. I would be willing to share if someone can tell me how to manage this, I have been trying to upload the PDF document like you would a jpeg image but this is not working, thoughts?

theedge, yes i mounted some pressboard over the openings in the hatch area, behind the rear wheel wells and the spare tire compartment, then covered the area with a thin sound pad and the felt. additional pics.

OMG - this thread has attracted some notables! testarossa_td, porshhhh951, DFASTEST951, great to see you guys!

I used the stockinteriors moulded stuff in my new tub, and its rubbish. It was one of those jobs where I needed to get it in [for PCA Club Race compliance] but hated every minute of the work because it was never going to be much more than a hack fit at best.

Seeing this appbiz set, and the very nice install that mj951 has done, I've just added this to my winter list. Its a great solution, and a reasonable price. Nice work, and thanks for the thread!

APKhaos,
Be prepaired for a little custom work on the kit you purchase. If you, someone you know or a significant other can sew you'll be fine.
I think I was the first person to order the 944 kit from Appbiz and I was trying to help them get the design nice and tight but it was difficult for many reasons.
I had what eqated to 2 or 2 1/2 full kits worth of material and about 20 feet of additional edge band shipped to me in the process and I still felt the need to cut and sew new edge banding on a hand full of pieces. Let me get the PDF slide shows over to Duke so he can post them up, these will shed some light on whats in store for you with this project.
I kick myself for not making templetes of the pieces I customized.
