Default 996 brakes question

I found a set of 996 "big reds" for sale. The owner gave me this info: Part numbers are: front 996.351.425 and 996.351.426, rear 996.352.421 and 996.352.422. In the pics it looks like they have been repainted. I'm wondering if these are big reds or just plain 996 brakes. Plus, whatever they are, are they a big improvement over 968 brakes, and are they worth $450?

do 996 brakes bolt on to a 968? I thought you needed 993 "big reds"? I know at least one person has put 996 TT brakes on their 951, but I also know he went through a *lot* of work to do it...

The seller has adapters for an '87 951 which would also be right for a 968. He says he got them from LR.

I don't know much about the brake options from Porsche. All I can tell is that these are monoblocks which I know is a good thing. Also I see the hard lines are painted red which tells me they were repainted. Scratches on the top left one almost suggest they are black underneath. They look big for sure, but not stupid-big like big reds. So I'm just wondering if they are worth the trouble of putting them on. Also wondering what they really are.

no need for the heavier 996 turbo calipers. waste on our light cars with 32mm rotors.
