ha i should have realised when the grinding dust flashed off . but i thought it was just part mag .
No I'll make you a special one pat with 20mm ports .
but i do have an extude honned 8v here .
so tim welding magnesium is it heaps of pre and post heat ???
I have an S2 engine across town hopfully get there befor the week end for take 2

It welds just like aluminum except that aluminum wont ignite and turn into a crazy magnesium inferno which cant be put out.Yes you will need alot of heat to get the weld going.
On a side note,my partner Shane used to work at a place building sandrails and that sort of thing and he used to weld alot of magnesium cases for Volkswagens.Well.......one day he was welding a case and a spark flew off and landed in a small pile of Magnesium shavings and low and behold.....a four alarm fire erupted and the 5000sq.ft shop nearly burned up. Needless to say,we dont weld on Magnesium too often. It is just not worth the consequences if something goes bad. Getting $100 bucks to weld a case is not worth the potential $500k of cars and the $250k of tools and equipment that could get damaged.

I would post it to you but it would cost as much as one from you local wreaker also they are not as good as the S2/968 ones becuase the runners are farfrom symetrical if cropped 4" long
I think i will just smash it up and set fire to it and melt a hole in somthing else
