My 968 is a M030 car and the only 968 suspension I have seen. I guess I assumed they all were that way.

Actually pissed me off when mine came in without the external reservoir and yes you received the correct ones.

Also they are helper springs. You should also have torsion bars and your trailing arm should be the same as mine. I've heard of bolts shearing off the lower mount when switching to coilovers.

I can't say I've ever heard of the bolts shearing off on stock 968's. For the record, the rear shocks/springs of the KW V3 are meant to be used with the stock torsion bars.

You can delete the torsion bars when using the V3s. Just make sure to get a stiffer spring. If you read DVCs thread reviewing his V3 system, a couple listers talk about deleting them with their V3 setups.

Even on my '2-way race' version, it doesn't have the ext/res. I thought this was only on their very expensive '3-way race' models?

You beat me to the post... that's also what I found when I looked into them... close to $10,000 AUD over here for those - yes, very expensive!

Perhaps it was just a "stock" picture. And not a picture of the 968 spec package. Not the best practice for advertising.

Yes u are right .
You have a uprated version of the club sport/competition package I was told ..
I have more a setup designed for the Nurburgring , developed from the club sport 2 way competion setup. ( i.e a bit softer cus it is a bumpy track )

+1 If you remove the torsion bars and go for a coil-over only set-up in the rear, it is advisable to change the rear lower shock mount as the original mount is not designed to carry the weight of the car. Upgraged version looks like this:

Racersedge Upgraded Lower Shock Mount

Also, does anyone have any comparison between the KW kits and the ground control kit. The GC kit is $1500, so it is priced right, what extra features/quality improvements would I get from the KW's?

GC Fronts

GC Rears

I don't know of any specific difference that would keep 951-968 shocks/struts from being physically interchangeable between series. It is all the same design.

gina.kane - it's my understanding that the upgraded lower shock bolt only works if you have rear coilovers with spherical ends (smaller diameter than stock). Lots of people run Bilstein Escort Cups with no torsion bars, the original rubber ends, and stock lower shock bolts. I'll let everyone know if my bolts shear off. So far so good.

If and when I decide to rebuild my rear shocks, I will then have spherical ends welded on to replace the rubber bushings, and will swap over to the Racer's Edge lower bolts.

Thus far no issues with the V3 lower bolts, t-bar delete, and daily driven.
