Are those Speedlines on the red car? If so, I'd be interested in buying them.

They are Speedlines, but probably not for sale, since they are the only wheels that came with the car.

Are you sure those are 9" wheels on the front of the black car? I didn't know that was possible. Is there a spacer, or do they just bolt right up the same way 8" rear wheels bolt up just fine?

They are 9 inch wheels. I have a bill for some spacers but I am not sure where they were used.

I'm not sure what you mean "Builds". I've been concentrating on getting my NASA and PCA competition licenses and have just started to work on tuning both 3.0 Turbos. My plan is to decide which one I'll keep and sell the other. I visited Australia and Tasmania in Feb. Had a great time. Where are you located?

Is Autometrics the place right off Sam Rittenberg just past the Chinese restaurant?

do you leagaly have to have an AFM for some racing ? as an AFM with motec is an odd combo. I've seen some funny interpritations of this rule .

Yes, Autometrics is on Belgrade off of Sam Rittenberg. The build some serious race cars, including 2 entries in the Daytona 24 hours.

Re: MAF. I'm pretty sure that's a typo. I just copied it from the Autometrics ad

I'm in Sydney. Sorry not to catch up. Were you on holiday? Tasmania can get pretty cold, but Feb is probably the best time to visit. I've not been but they say that it's a great place to go for a drive holiday. Lots of long and windy roads without much traffic. Bit like NZ.
I meant "Builds" just because of the title of the original thread. Just wondered what had become of the cars and if you'd transferred all the good parts into one car etc...

Yes, I was on Holiday and actually the weather in Tasmania wasn't too bad, although it did rain in Melbourne. I have some friends who live in Sydney. We also visited NZ, both the North and South Islands on that trip.

After I bought the cars, I sailed in Europe (Turkey to France) for 3 months, returning in late August. Since then its been DEs and Races with my 44Cup car and not much time for the 3.0 Liters.

I am finally getting a chance to work on them. They are actually pretty well sorted, but have been sitting for a few years. After changing all the fluids, I am adding widebands to both cars and upgrading some of the technology that has been improved since the cars were built. For example, The black car has a LR MAF and an old Vitesse device, like a simplified ARC2, to adjust MAF voltage. I have installed an SMT6 and started tuning. I will also upgrade the IC pipes to 2 1/2 inches and may install a set of headers on the one I decide to keep. On the red car, I have to learn to program the Motec and will add a set of camber plates. I plan to bring both cars to a Dyno for final tuning, with a goal of a consevative 400 WHP(Currently 363 and 388 at 15lbs).

As they are right now both cars are street legal in South Carolina, although the black car doesn't have any headlights installed. I am looking at having a friend of mine fabricate some fixed headlights and plexi covers, so that car can be run at night.
