Default Weekends work! - Interior of track car

Hi guys,

Thought I would post some pics of what I have done for the last 40 hours of the weekend whilst the wife has been away. Be gentle as this is the first time I have done this. Removed all old interior and set about work on the tar strips. Tried dry ice (but the only thing that came off was the underseal under the car and NOT the tar!!!!!

Plumber the extinguisher in to the fuel tank, engine comparttment and also MY crotch GOt some grip strips coming this week for the floors to finnish it off. Next is to finish the kill switch and then cut my lexan windows. Does it ever end?

Before and after

Very nice. It ends for a while, then you upgrade, maintenance time...but it all remains fun. Very nice plaid seat belt release straps and door pulls.

cheers, I was a bit cheeky and asked track side tim (who I bought the belts off) if he could send me an extra couple of lenghts. Being the star he is, he did no problem!

VERY nice. Nice Club Sport/RS look on the insides of the doors...+1 on cool pull straps.

I used plasticote wheel paint (#618 steel). I gave it plenty of coats and then at the end gave it a light coat of clear laquer to seal and finish!

Looks nice Dan! In fact... I seem to recall being in that car...

Good luck on the windows!

p.s. you'll have fun at the Glen too - a great track for our cars. If you have the oportunity to walk the track, I highly recomend it. The elevation change will blow your mind.

It's a Silver Rose, Pete.

Dan, I won't be at the glen - don't worry, though, Metro is a good group of guys and you'll have fun.

Watch as much video as possible to try and familiarize yourself with the track.
