If the color is as u describe, It's Silver Rose!! Do not paint it! One of the best colors ever offered OE on our cars.

His car is an 86 and from looking at all the pictures he's posted, I'd put money on Zermatt Silver. It took a while, but Silver Rose has grown on me, it's a weird color...
