Default tightening head studs

I got my head torqued down the other day and now i came across the directions for my arp studs which say to measure the stud height. I just snugged them in and measured to make sure theyre all in good. No loctite neither. Is this method ok? They still fit good. It seems stupid to not thread it in fully

As long as you had threads all the way through the nuts. Did you torque t down in order, and in the proper step up?
