Default Steering wheel opinions

Looking at this wheel for my car. I am kinda worried about the Gold color matching. But maybe with a few other gold accents in the interior this would look OK? Let me know.

Well, as long as you are going for the gold ;-) you might as well go for it. It should look pretty good especially since it appears you like that color.

It's not that I like it, the PO painted the car this color. I wanted silver, but at $1700, the asking price was right!

Hey Doug, I totally understand that you could not pass up on that deal. FYI-I wasn't in any way trying to flame you about the color. ;-) I think that wheel should match up real nice.

For a simialr look and less bling, I'd pick one of these- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=021

I have the Club Sport wheel that if memory serves I got through Paragon (I believe still a site sponsor). The wheel came over from Germany and it was from an Italian manufacture. I love the way it looks and it is just all black with the embossed Porsche Crest. It looks like the 930 S wheel (probably is) that Ski posted in the eBay Steering Wheel Thread.

Dont get me wrong, I love the CS wheel, I am just wanting something different. The CS wheel has been on my list ever since I got this car. But I'm starting to think otherwise.

IMO...... It looks 'cheap'. I really like Momo wheels and quality, I even like the colored Momo wheels. When I clicked on the link to see a Gold Momo Pilot wheel, I expected to see just the center section in gold, the three spoke and horn bezel. But seeing it colored like that makes it look more like the ricey cheap steering wheels that are cluttering up eBay.

I think the color scheme of the Momo Race Metal wheel in black/gold would be more fitting.

But then again, this is a thread about 'opinions', and we all know that saying...

BlueTSI: I have never seen that wheel. I love it! You have just made my day!

EDIT: now if I could just find one for sale. N/A from that supplier.

Doug, I like that MOMO wheel better as well. I had a MOMO on a previous car and it made the car (a non-Porsche) Have you tried contacting MOMO USA directly and maybe they can help you find a distributor.

MOMO does not have the wheel listed on thier site any longer. I also like the Club 4 wheel but it's NLA as far as I can tell.

Not a bad price, if they have it in stock. I'd assume you'd want the 350mm, but they do list a 320 also.

Back to the original issue of this thread, color match. I had the Race Metal blue in my old Conquest. The colors did NOT match. Up close and personal, the wheel appears to have a linear polish(looks like they sand it in one direction, horizontally), and is then anodized in the color of your choice. Even though the colors didn't match, the overall appearance was nice.

I think if you can find a Race Metal Gold, and then get one of those Momo Porsche horn buttons (~$50) on ebay, that would be a nice look on your gold car.

I've thought about getting a different Momo wheel myself, but I'm currently happy with my Grant Corsa D, which is actually pretty un-common and expensive for a Grant. I've got the cheap Porsche horn button off of eBay, which I do NOT recommend, get the more expensive Momo version.

Looks cool but I would be scared of the bling factor as well as the ricer potential.
There is nothing like the tried and true Monte Carlo from Momo.
