I weighed mine with some bathroom scales which aren't very accurate and the original bonnet (hood, sorry!) weighed circa 20kg (44lb). This was with the sound deadening already removed. I replaced it with a Van Zweeden carbon bonnet (the road spec version) and that was somewhere between 7 and 9kg (15-20lb).
