Default new turbo for me

It is fast. 16.5psi at 2600 and holds steady pressure to redline. Feels like it has better response than the 26-6 but has the top end too.

This is with a vitesse MAF and chipboard with 0 tuning so far. It is close but I think I can get a ton more out of my setup with tuning.

This one is the prototype so it is not available yet but it will be soon.

This thing is great in town putting in traffic but on ramps and after turns it is fast. This is a perfect street setup IMHO. Not the most power but solid wide power at low RMPs.

Dyno is ASAP. I just got it running tonight.

GT3071r with bolt in stainless exhaust housing it will have everything need to bolt in. No idea on pricing yet.

Who is the turbo from? Will they have a GT35R version?

Wow, about how long is "soon" for availability? I would consider putting my 27/6 install on hold for that. When are you taking it to a dyno?

Why 71 and not 76?

internal wastegate??

I've been told in the past to avoid gated turbo's

I have an GT3071R too. It runs with 17.6psi up to 6500 rpm. Enough power (350hp) for me.

Does yours spool up anywhere near 2600 RPM? Do you have a dyno chart?

^^^^^ Yes.

I do not know what "soon" is but it will not be as cheap as a 27-6. Dyno possibly this weekend. My roommate works at a shop that has a mustang dyno.

Jason
The 71 vs 76 was not my choice but I don't think a bigger turbo is really necessary for this. A 76 might give more ultimate power but I think this is a great turbo for a 2.5.

It is not an internally gated turbo.
