I remember that I used to get that small hesitation and it was the ignition wires, also decrease the gap in you spark plugs to .26

+2
also I have seen a problems with the stock coil at higher pressures

You may want to look at a different diverter as well. The stock one seem to have problems. If you have a problem in the future with boost falling quick and not holding that is the first thing I would look at.

Thanks for all the input guys!

Is the stock coil the problem? Would looking into a new one be good since I'm upgrading? Or should I go aftermarket?

I have found that a stock coil. New or used (this is my experience) will buck like Hell once over the 17psi mark with an efficient turbo.

I am using a Jacobs coil and it has done very well at high boost.

As of right now I'm only at 16psi, but will bump it up to 18 every so often (track events, DEs, etc...). Is a Jacobs coil a straight drop in? I'm gathering from your post that you recommend it.

It is not a "drop in" but rather a "bolt on"

it is not a std round type but more of a square and much larger. But the wiring is the same

Awesome, Thanks. I'm going to switch wires first, then plugs, and if I still have it I'll check out new coils.

Standard 7mm bosch wires, I didn't have the extra 50 to go towards the 8mm wires

What kind of Stutter? Quick jolt? Soft sputter? Mild slowdown, then comes back up?

It's kinda hard to explain. Its not violent and doesn't really jold, but I can see the tach needel slow down and feel it for a split second.
