What other problems beside low boost would a bad diverter valve cause?

Hi Ballistic

you asking me??
I can't speak from experience as I have not used that specific valve. Technical specs seem appropriate, and paragon generally sells good quality stuff. Clearly a better design than factory diaphragm unit in my opinion.

Only potential issue I see - is unspecified internal spring rate (boost range). Without manufacturer identification of specific boost range the valve is capable of holding, one can only speculate at what PSI it will begin to bleed off.

For comparison / reference:
Forge DV spring kit facilitates optimizing for boost range as follows
Green - 5-15 PSI
Yellow - 15-23 PSI
Blue - 23-30 PSI
Red - 30 + PSI

May be worth mentioning the forge valve is also sealed with three o-rings as I recall

Forge motorsport makes their valve and Evolution motorsport (EVO) makes their own. The paragon kit is the evolution motorsport valve. I have this valve as do many users on here. It is nicely made and works well however the spring is too weak and the forge spings will fit.

Question was open to everyone. I should have stated that.

I placed an order for that bypass valve just before this thread was created. Was concerned I made a poor choice.
