Default 8 & 9 Fuchs on the 951

Tried on a buddies set of 8 & 9 inch Fuchs on the '86 this weekend just to see how it looked. I was skeptical at first since I'm not the biggest fan of Fuchs, but I admit they look pretty decent. The front's are rear 951 Fuchs and the rears are 930 Fuchs. What do you guys think? Better than my stock phonies?
It wasn't the best lighting out for pics though...

And then this happened....!!!

Timing belt tensioner stud sheared off about 3/8'' inside the block. Somehow I didn't bend any valves even after part of the timing belt shredded itself and it jumped at least a few teeth before I could get it turned off. Compression and leakdown test both confirmed I didn't have any valve bendage.
After two days of tearing **** apart and figuring out how to get the rest of the bolt out, we got this...

For future reference, anyone with an '86 please change your tensioner roller stud when you do your belts so this doesn't happen to anyone else!
Thanks again Ryan and Vic for all your help!

I agree with you, they don't look good...

I'll take 'em off your hands if you can't stand the sight of them

BAD A$$!

And if you lost a belt without bending valves you need to buy a lotto ticket!

Porcho heat, regretfully gabe chose to trade me the wheels for help with his timing belt. Being a good friend, I told him that they were probably only worth about $250 since they are so old!

and about my car... at least I can pull up next to hondas and shout "front mount intercooler biatch" while pointing at the front of my car.. hahah. Had the body shop remembered to paint the bumper plugs during the front end respray, all would appear right with the world.

Here is a set in LA for dirt cheap! The usually 9"s sell for around 1k for the pair if you can find them.

love them gabe, i think you ought to find a set still. or better yet build a set of lindsay fuchs that way the tires would be a lot cheaper and more abundant than the goofy sizes for the 16's.

and ryan is that a front mount?
