Default Door handle install finished, Sheesh

I may be just me but this was tough. I had a car audio shop break my drivers side door handle, as he thought he needed to remove to install aftermarket door actuators, I must say not something I enjoyed. Any pointers if I nned to do again.

Next time do all the work from outside the car by removing the jamb screw, tip the handle outward, and drive out the roll pin for the drop link. I found about this short cut from another lister after replacing about 8 handles over the years. It's better to mask off the area around the handle no matter what method you use to prevent scratches.

Steve, that sounds like a good trick, I gotta try that!

Every time you have a door handle in your hands, make sure to clean and relube everything. Graphite lock lube for the lock. And I guess heavy grease for the linkage?

MANY write ups on this! It is tedious, but not hard. Search is your friend.

anders, call these guys. With the weakness of the U.S. Dollar, you should be able to get a good price, even with shipping.
