Megasquirt VR Sensor question
Hello,
I have the car wired up, trigger wheel 36-1, dual coils and idles well.
When I increase the throttle the engine will not go above 2k RPM and the tach bounces around somewhat---sometimes as high as 6k.
--checked the grounds for interference
--rechecked the jumpers in the MS
--adjusted the two pots in the MS
Is it possible--though the car idles well---that the sensor is missing teeth at the higher RPMs?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

36-1 should work fine
Make sure your trigger settings and the spark settings are right.
Grounds are REALLY important with MS. e.g. mine starts to jump up and down if I'm going to crank it and the fans are on.
Also, its a real good help if you have acces to an oscilloscope in order to see if you have any noise going past the filters. One of my circuits was giving me a headeache and thats the only way I found it.
The greater the revs the more sensitivity to noise.
