Default Planning on building a 931 with 951 engine...

Have a 931 clean shell, and also an accident damaged 951 for parts.
I am seriously considering the transplant.
I want the car to look completely stock 931 with 928 S 16" wheels to install the 951 brakes and have the better grip against the 15s the 931 has at the moment
Will the engine crossmember mount be easy to attach to the 931 chassis ?
I mean how hard can it be ???

Any other difficulties to consider ?

Nice...

I have a different approach though...
I preffer the stealth look of the innocent but lighter and more aerodynamic narrow 931...

If you look pictures more carefully, you will find out this body is now narrow. Rear & front fenders has been changed to 924 units.

i believe the front crossmember/ steering rack and rear trans mounts are all different on 931 cars- they had the trans brace built into the rear torsion tube and the crossmember was totally different. You may be able to mount the turbo crossbrace into the chassis though in place of the original? Then you would probl. need to adapt the rear crossmember for the trans to the 931 body.

just make sure you change out everything- heatshields, clutch lines etc...does the 931 have a braket for the power steering? Youll prob. need the gas tank as well since the stock 931 had a different pump set up for a fuel distributor.

Gas tank is there from the 951 as well as f.pump.
Don;t think I'll put a power steerin rack. I guess I'll use the 931 one
