Question surfboard rack/sunroof

I just purchased an extra sunroof and plan to permanently mount (sometype-of-rack) to it. Has anyone done this before ? All design ideas would be appreciated. This sunroof will only be used when I am carrying my board. It's 7'2" and weighs 5lbs.
TIA

Couldn't tell ya.. I just throw the board inside. Any waves at 1st street? Some fun ones at Newport CA. this morning. I really wouldn't drill into the sunroof, have you looked at a soft rack?

3-5 feet yesterday evening, glassy. In case I pass a beauty with her thumb out, I don't want to have to throw my board in a ditch to make room for her!
The for and aft spread on a soft rack appears too close to me. I am afraid the board won't be stable, not to mention the wear and tear on door/window gaskets.
