Clubsports are forged, D-90's are cast.

+1 Forged is good. Anyone else heard of any PCA guys who are starting to get nervous about Club Sports and Fuchs based on age? Somebody told me that a recent PCA national president liquidated a pretty substantial inventory of Fuchs that he had been using on his tail dragger race car based on the increasing likelihood of age and stress induced failures.

I had a little accident last year at a race. The forged club sport held up exceptionally well - and the Fikse that it "met" was destroyed.

yeah aluminum does degrade over time but i would worry more about magnesium than about aluminum.
