Just a comment for you:
A sincere bit of advice to you- would not bother pissing around with anything under 300#
Seriously - you are going to the same amount of work and cost. 225 is not as much of a change as you would think.
Take a ride in a car with 300ish springs - it is very very street-able. The roads here as as bad as they get (potholes, freeze/thaw etc.) Even here 325 is a nice street setup. My wife does not even mind it unless we get on a really badly chopped up road.

Here are a sequence of pictures of my 86 Turbo in what I guess is a similar corner. It has well used, but still good, Koni yellows all around. 968 M030 Sway bar in the front only and Weltmeister 250 lb springs. I have the rear 968 M030 bar for the rear but haven't installed it yet. The rear has been lowered to match the front. The cornering is pretty flat and the ride on the road is comfortable. I am running street tires in this picture.
I bought the Sways from Sunset Porsche for about $400 and the Springs from Paragon for $125.

I don't really know, I usually look at the Speedo only at the end of the straight. It's this corner at Roebling Roads.

Skip from Paragon the THE MAN on these kinds of questions, but my bet is that you probably need something like a 26 or 27 mm t-bar to keep the car balanced at 250# fronts.
The question of real coils vs t-bar to obtain balance I think sometimes comes down the money. If bucks were no object, slick rear coil overs with adjustable perches is "da bomb". Taking the time to upgrade with right thickness T-bars accomplishes the same goal for less dollars but a much higher PITA factor, IMO.

Definitely get advice re t-bars and rear helper springs too. It's not just a matter of adding the two values together. There is a formula. I'm sure someone like Skip mentioned above is the way to go. I also agree about not going too soft for the new spring rates. I've got over 600lb at each end and I love it.

Springs and sway bars are the only way to reduce body roll.
250lbs fronts are good enough to take edge off the roll, but still be nice on the street. The biggest benefit fo 250's is that they are a drop in sping. FOr 300lbs or more you need to get coilover adapters and stuch. Even Turbo S springs won't fit on on S struts. They S springs are tapered slightly.
A nice match for 250lbs springs are 28 mm t-bars.

Wow, great input here! Thanks all!
I completely understand what y'all are saying re: 250 being ~too soft of a spring. Sean here on the 'List w/ his 88 951 has ~300 lb springs, and while it's not super stiff, it's definitely a bump up from my stock setup.
Joe P, thanks for that last bit about extra cost. Unfortunately cost is an issue and for now, I'd just like a setup that I'm happy with. Truth be told, I'm actually content with stock but the excessive roll sure piques my interest in a bad way.
So, as always, it always comes down to money and if 250 lb springs are a drop-in spring w/ no extra parts to buy, I like the way it sounds. Plus, it looks like I can keep stock rear suspension (w/ koni yellows) w/ 250 lb springs up front.
Yes, in the long run it would be advisable to buy 300+ lb springs but I just don't have the reserve cash to go upgrading my entire suspension just yet!

I think you'll be happy with the 250 lb springs. Of course stiffer would be better, but they are now $117 at Paragon. Don't forget about sway bars. The 951 came with several different bars. 26.8 inch being the largest. If you don't have that bar, you should look at finding one. They are pretty cheap used.

Yeah current "modifications" are simply a Turbo S bar (27mm) and koni yellows on the rear. Someday, I'd like to step up to a 30 mm up front and a 19mm rear but that'll have to wait.
