Just curious why all you guys painted the interior white... is it just a personal preference or is to keep the interior cooler?

I'm repainting mine white for the cooling, but also because white hides many imperfections that will be left over from scraping plus white is very easy to touch up.

easier to touch up, if something is rolling around you can find it easily, and yes, cooler.

Ski, when I asked how much weight was saved I was thinking about just the sound deadening and adhesive goop on the floor. Any idea on that?

682# out of your race car is a bunch. Just like adding 70 Hp at the rear wheels.

No, sorry I mis read. SWAG at about 13-18#.

Yeah it's pretty fun at 2550#. One issue left to resolve and then paint - then track time.

Thanks for the very accurate estimate. I have always felt SWAGs were accurate to about 99.9%. Track time is just around the corner.

Wow! The final product looks great! Just to be clear, you didn't drop 682# from removing the tar alone, correct? If not, what other things did you do and how much did removing the tar contribute?

Goof off. worked awesome on the little remainder stuff. not the spray. get the pour spout and at least two tall cans of it. Cleans it off fast.

No not just from the insulation, as stated, I mis read. All the elec motors, no door glass, window regulators, A/C system, exhaust, headlight assy, interior panels, any wiring associated with above, sunroof cables, and swapped a few parts for fiberglass ones.
