If he is making an actual 2 bars of boost with the stock KLR chip he's lean. His chips are not mapped for that and the stock fpr can't achieve it.

If he's leaking boost then he's not reaching 2 bars.

I had that same line break in almost the same spot. I ended up ripping out the metal vacuum manifold under the intake, deleting the Cycling Valve, installing a black know boost controller, and installing my Tial after that. They only sell that particular hose with a new manifold (all for ~$400) and I didn't want to just throw something else on there and use hose clamps.

I don't think he has an aftermarket boost gauge, he probably thinks that the # 2 on the stock boost gauge is 2bar which is a common mistake.

What kind of motor work was done? Maintenance or upragdes?

I'm seeing stock IC pipes, stock airbox, and stock fuel rail.

That leads me to believe that much isn't done, plus the fact you don't have an aftermarket boost gauge.

Sounds about like a standard maintenance record file to me . Not indicative of any mods LOL

Notice how I said "THE NEEDLE REACHES 2 BAR"...as in "the needle on the stock boost gauge reaches the last line on the stock boost gauge, where the number 2 is located". I didn't say I was BOOSTING 2BAR. Read thoroughly before replying.

What the **** does my old DSM have to do with ANYTHING in this thread? Nothing.

How many times do I have to say this?! I KNOW it's a common mistake because most of the people who sit in my car ask me, "You're boosting 2 bars?!" to which I say, "No, only 1BAR...2BAR means I'm 1BAR above atmospheric pressure."

More like 30psi.

I don't have the stock chip and I do remember seeing "fuel pressure regulator" in the receipts, but I'm not sure if it's stock or not.

I was leaking boost (as you saw from the picture), and MY NEEDLE was reaching 2BAR (I was boosting 1BAR). Now do you understand?

I'll get back to you on that, because I'm not even sure what's done to it. My PO said he'd make a list of the things that were done to the car, and once I get that list, I'll share it with you guys...

I know you guys have been on this site a lot longer than I have and you've probably been working with these cars since I was playing with Micro-Machines, but PLEASE quit giving me **** when all I'm trying to do is get help when I need it and give help when I can.

That will make unlimited boost (a metric ****load). He must have chips or the overboost protection would have whacked his nose into the windshield.
Fix it or blow up!!

haha chris^^^... actually chris, to be more clear for some of us, thats a metric ****load - gauge pressure, and a metric ****load +14.5psi absolute.

but in all seriousness, that line NEEDS to be fixed... and you also need to get a good boost gauge. I have been in pleanty of 951s that are boosting well past 14psi, yet the factory gauge reads only 2bar. Not a good reference for overboost.

I fixed it yesterday, the same day I spotted it. I plan on getting a boost gauge ASAP, anyway. Any recommendations?

Autometer seem to be "cost effective", but I have heard some complaints about the accuracy... though right now I cant give you a specific source.

I'm using an autometer, and I don't have any complaints. I don't tune my car to the ragged edge, so for the most part I don't care if its off by +- a psi or so.

I have a friend with a VDO gauge, and I like the looks MUCH better, it really jives well with the other VDO stuff in the car.

Never heard of PLX, cant help you ther.
