WTB Downpipe

Does anybody have a stock downpipe with good studs? My studs broke when I removed the motor and we have tried to drill out / helicoil. I am having very little success with this.

There is one on ebay but it is in california. I'd prefer something closer so that I can get it sooner.

We are going to try and tap it when we get back from our welder. I'll let you know if it was great success or epic failure. If it is shipped from the east coast that would mean I would have it for Sunday the day after the Sebring race. Probable install day *fingers crossed*

We were successful in taping and getting helicoil in there to use the new studs. In retrospect I should have left some material in the end of the stud whole. As it is nice there isn't anything for the helicoil to bottom out on. Duh.

We test fitted and I think it is going to work. I'll let you guys know if I need one when the engine is installed...eventually
